In this article I’m going to tell you why and show you how to add funds to your balance on SEOClerks.

What is SEOClerks?

SEOClerks is a marketplace where people can buy and sell digital products and services.

This is one of the most popular microjob marketplaces on the internet actually, with a lot of great offers and services a person can buy at a dirt cheap prices. And if you have services to sell, SEOClerks is definitely one of the places where you want to list your services for sale. Maybe you make some sales and maybe you don’t, but it’s one more place where you can find potential buyers and make some money.

We wrote a detailed review about SEOClerks some time ago, you can check it out here:

What is Add Funds to Balance?

This is an option SEOClerks offers where you can pay them in order to add funds to your balance, and then you can use that balance to buy gigs on the site. I don’t know of any other site that offers this actually, Fiverr certainly doesn’t. This is a neat feature that can save you money, effort and time in the long run.

So for example, you go and pay SEOClerks $50 and you get that amount added to your account balance. Now you can go and buy as many gigs as you want until you run out of your balance.

Why should I Add Funds to Balance?

Back before SEOClerks made some changes to their payment system, and when I was buying lots and lots of $1 gigs, this feature was a lifesaver, because they had a fee for each purchase you made. So when you paid for a $1 gig with your Paypal account, you would end up paying $1.35 because SEOClerks had a fee. But if you deposited $20 with Paypal to your balance, you could use your balance to buy 20 gigs that cost $1 dollar each, because there was no fee to pay with balance.

You can see what a huge money saver this was for me.

Nowadays the payment system on the site is different, and SEOClerks doesn’t take fees anymore when paying for gigs. Now when you buy a gig you’re actually paying the seller directly, unless you pay with your balance. But the problem is that different sellers offer different payment options

Save Money

So for example, if you’re paying for a gig with Transferwise (Wise), you will be charged a small fee by Wise to send the payment. Or if you’re paying with crypto you may have to pay a gas fee or the exchange fee in order to send the payment. But if you add funds to your balance, you can make one payment (minimum is only $5 dollars), and depending on the method you chose to pay with you can get away with no fees whatsoever.

This will save you money.

Save time and effort

Imagine buying lots of gigs, and every time you make a purchase having to login to your Paypal/Wise/Coinpayments account with your logins, maybe do a phone verification to login and send the payment, wait for the payment to go through, etc. This will eat up your time. But if you’re paying with your balance, you don’t have to do any of that annoying stuff. You just go to the gig you want to buy, you pay with your balance, and it’s done, quick.

Convenience

Different sellers offer different payment options. I assume most people prefer or can only pay using one or two payment methods. So imagine you can only pay for a gig with Paypal, and you want to buy a gig where the seller doesn’t accept Paypal. This is very inconvenient because now you would have to create an account and deposit funds on the site with which they do accept payment. If a seller only accepts cryptocurrencies for payment, you would have to get some, with all the price fluctuation risk that that carries.

But if you have a balance in your account you can buy EVERY GIG with it, because all the sellers accept paying with your balance 😎

Protection

Okay, this one is just my reasoning. Say you buy a gig from a seller and you pay with Paypal, and something goes wrong with the order. You can’t work it out with the seller, so you contact SEOClerks support, and maybe you do a Paypal chargeback. At this point the support will surely help you with the problem, but they don’t really have a dog in the fight. Obviously it concerns them, because the business is being done on their platform, but they don’t really have money in the game, in a way.

But if you pay SEOClerks directly by adding balance to your account, and then a problem occurs with some gig you purchased, now the site is on the line and will have a problem if you do a chargeback or complain to whatever payment processor you used to pay with. I feel that in this situation SEOClerks will have a little more of an incentive to help you with the problem and get it resolved as quickly as possible, and keep you happy.

How to Add Funds to Balance?

Adding funds to your account balance is quite simple. Simply login to your SEOClerks account, and then place your mouse or click on the “BUYER” tab in the top menu and click on “Add Funds to Balance“:

When you click on that, you will go to a page like this:

They offer 3 options for payment. The first option is AIRTM, and through this you can pay with multiple methods. The other two options are for cryptocurrencies, with one being Coinbase Commerce and the other being NOWPayments. You can pay with a number of cryptocurrencies.

Here is the breakdown:

AIRTM – Airtm lets you deposit and withdraw money using any bank or online wallet including Paypal, Apple Pay, Venmo, Payeer, AdvCash, Payoneer, MPesa, and Skrill, among others.

Coinbase Commerce – Coinbase Commerce allows payments via Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dai, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USD Coin.

NOWPayments – NOWPayments allows payments via Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dai, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USD Coin.

So you just choose the amount you would like to deposit to your account, select your payment method, make the payment, and within minutes the money will be added to your account and you can go buy any gig you want.

After making a payment, you will receive an email like this:

At this point your payment has been added to your account balance, and you can go ahead and buy any gig you want.

You can check your account balance at any time by simply logging into your SEOClerks account and hovering over your profile photo in the upper-right corner of the screen. On the dropdown that appears, right on top you will see a “Balance” area, and next to it your balance $ amount will be displayed.

  1. I was using SEOClerks almost everyday since 2012, however, I shifted to fiverr the moment this odd payment system was invented. Why should I pay AIRTM processing fees, service fees, currency fees and what have you fees when I can simply pay using my credit card? and why would I lock in $50 with SEOClerks while I only want to make a $5 purchase?

I haven’t brought anything on SEOclerks since this funny payment method is invented.

    • Yeah, agreed on all counts. They probably did it to pass some of the risk of payment processors on the users.

Because, imagine when Paypal limits or bans the account SEOClerks is using. Now they can’t pay people, they can’t receive payments, etc. They’re dead in the water basically.

But now where most of the payments are received directly by the users/sellers of the site, any problem with a payment processor doesn’t affect SEOClerks.

In any case, yeah the system they have now sucks. On the flipside, they accept more payment methods now (like Wise) than they used to.
