BitChute Review (Youtube alternative)

In today’s article I’m going to review a website called Bitchute.com.

What is Bitchute?

In short, Bitchute is a social video site, like Youtube and Dailymotion. It’s free to register. You can upload videos, watch and comment on videos, monetize your content and refer people to the site.

It’s pretty much the same concept as Youtube and Dailymotion, except Bitchute is touted as a “Free Speech” platform that won’t ban people for wrong-think. It’s part of the alternative media rise up, along with Gab and others.

Why use Bitchute?

Reach and traffic

As someone who makes money online, I believe that having at least a presence in as many places as possible can only help you reach more people and get more traffic. If you’re creating and uploading videos online on Youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo or any other site, it can only benefit you to also upload your videos on Bitchute.

Backup for your videos

You can also use it as a backup for your videos. That said, my advice is that you always backup all of your videos locally on your computer, and even have a second backup on an external hard drive, or at least on some cloud service. The reason is simple, so that you don’t ever lose your videos.

Because all these websites have the ability to terminate your account and remove your videos from their platform at any moment. So if you produce videos and upload them to Youtube, and they ban you, you could lose all of your videos forever, and there is nothing you can do about it. But if you also upload your videos on Bitchute, you don’t have to worry about that.

Monetization

In terms of monetizing, Bitchute has more monetization options than all the other similar platforms. I’ll talk more about that later in the article…

Free speech and support the little guy

People often complain how the big monopolies – such as Facebook and Youtube – are getting too big and powerful and controlling too much of the internet. Well, their power comes from their user base, and if people start using alternative sites – such as Bitchute – then there will be some balance on the internet. Bitchute is a good and active site, they’re always working on new innovations and advancements, and  you should check them out.

One of the main reasons Bitchute got its initial push was because Youtube… went nuts. At some point Youtube started banning everything and everybody, removing peoples’ channels and videos forever, and then Bitchute appeared to give a home to people who were shunned by Youtube. And I’m not talking about people who were doing anything wrong, but mostly people who had the wrong political opinions that Youtube didn’t agree with, and people who expressed their views in a way that Youtube found unacceptable. But it goes much deeper than that – cryptocurrency people, gun videos, marijuana-related content, and on and on and on.

Youtube basically wants to become a politically correct platform, where the big guys are the celebrities and TV people, Will Smith and CNN, and where the little guy has no voice. But this is the internet, and as one of the internet’s beloved children I must say, Fuck You Youtube!

So if you believe in competition and free speech, give Bitchute a try.

Monetization

Bitchute offers a number of interesting monetization methods. Some of them are still not available to all members, but they are working on it and sooner or later when they work out all the kinks I’m sure they will enable everything for all content creators.

Monetization methods include:

Tips & Pledges

So we have Subscribestar, Coinpayments, Patreon and Paypal.

For those of you that are familiar, you can clearly see that Bitchute offers the most monetization options from all other similar platforms, by far! That’s pretty cool. In fact, I just noticed they offer Coinpayments for monetization when I was writing this article and I enabled it. So you guys should go on Bitchute and tip me, just to test to make sure it works haha ;)

Conclusion

If you ask me, the more the merrier. There are not that many video sharing sites out there worth mentioning (Youtube, Dailymotion and Vimeo are the only ones I know of that are worth a f*ck), and it’s always nice to see another competitor appear and grow, especially one that is concerned about free speech and internet freedom, like Bitchute is.
